Through a gentle surgery using a local anesthetic, the implant is placed in the jawbone. Nitrous oxide may be used to maintain patient comfort and relaxation.Following implantation, a temporary restoration is placed to cover the site as the gums and bone have time to heal around the implant. Healing takes a few months. The permanent restoration can then be placed. The result is a beautifully restored smile. With proper care, your implant can last a lifetime.
